Norway Savings Bank - more than money

Norway Savings Bank was incorporated in 1866 and opened its original building on Main Street in Norway, Maine, in 1894 (it’s still standing today). We moved to our current downtown location in 1957.

 

From the beginning, we’ve been a community bank dedicated to bringing sophisticated financial expertise and warm, friendly service to our Maine neighbors. Our philosophy and colorful approach have made Norway unique in the marketplace.

 

And people have noticed. In 1995, Money magazine voted us “Maine’s Best Bank.” In 2000, Southern Maine Economic Development honored us for outstanding contributions to economic development in southern Maine.

 

We merged with southern Maine’s Coastal Bank in 2001, and grew bigger and more convenient in the process. Now we’re building on our history and traditions to create a better future…for the bank, our customers and the communities we serve.
